Frank Sinatra called him “the only true genius in show business,” and Ray Charles was just that, “The Genius.” The icon of soul music who had been blind since age of seven and one of the greatest artists of all time. Ray was most known for his soulful and jazzy classic, but he loved incorporating other sounds into his compilations.
Back in 1984 Ray teamed up with country singer Willie Nelson and together they recorded a beautiful ballad called “Seven Spanish Angels.” It was the most successful of Ray Charles’ eight hits on the country chart, and people loved it. The combination of the gorgeous melody and powerful emotions by two icons was highly recognized by the audience.
The following video is one of the most emotional performances of the song and it made me shed a tear. Check it out and share with your friends and family on Facebook!
