San Ignacio Lagoon in Mexico is the place where tourists have a unique chance to get incredibly close toward the gray whales. Hundreds of gray whales, who migrate annually to the region from their feeding grounds in the Arctic, pick these shallow and warm waters to give birth to their young. Here, they seem to enjoy the interaction with humans, and often approach small boats. Well, tourists on this video got extremely excited as this mother whale brought her baby along, and they put on quite a show for the cameras.
They lean over to pet the whales, and as they pet the baby, the mother comes up under her child and sort of lifts it up as she rises. Passengers on the boat were delighted to be able to touch these fascinating animals.
