Lindon Beckford had been working as a patient transporter at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston for three decades. During his time there he had a habit to often sing songs in order to get through a rough day, and patients started noticing his crooning. People liked that and soon he began singing for patients while moving them from one room to another. These soft lullabies would make them forget why they are there and make them feel much better.
Mr. Beckford is not a doctor, or a nurse, but he certainly saves lives when he sings for those people in need. It might seem meaningless, but patients are feeling happy when in the presence of this good man and that is the most important thing.
