This story seems so unreal that some would probably say that it is a part of a fairy tale, but believe me it is quite real. An award-winning artist and a professor of art at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York – Sam Van Aken has done something truly remarkable and worth admiring. He has developed a technique of grafting various varieties of stone fruit onto a single tree, otherwise known as “The Tree of 40 Fruit.”
This amazing tree has more than 40 varieties of apricots, plums, almonds, nectarines and more, and everything started as an art project. And when you look at the blossoming tree in all those different colors it sure feels like a masterpiece. Other than that, who would not like to have a steady supply of different fruit and everything comes from one tree!
