The Amazing time-lapse video of Earth will stun You!

German astronaut Alexander Gerst has prepared this special Christmas present for everyone who love astronomy. He made this spectacular video as a compilation of images he was taking during the period of over five and half months on Blue Dot mission on the International Space Station. The outcome is this 6 minutes amazing clip!

Alexander really made some stunning photos of Earth. If you are interested in numbers, there are around 12,500 images of our home planet, during 166 days. And all of these were taken by cameras attached on different parts of the International Space Station. When put together, they got this amazing video. The officials marked under the video “Marvel at the auroras, sunrises, clouds, stars, oceans, the Milky Way, the International Space Station, lightning, cities at night, spacecraft and the thin band of atmosphere that protects us from space”.
