Now that the temperature has dropped down, it’s a little hard getting used to the fact that the summer’s over. This goes especially for children who can no longer wear just gym shorts and flip-flops around the house. But, instead of putting on more layers of clothes, some of them find it easier to just turn up the heat. On the other hand, there’s no denying that it costs a pretty penny to keep the heat going. A big dilemma and Autumn Brandon, a wife and mother of three boys, understand it perfectly.
She often often finds the heat blasted on high — even if there’s no reason for it! So, in order to solve this issue, she came up with a new family rule. Whoever wants to touch the thermostat needs to answer YES on three basic questions:
1. Are you wearing a hoodie, pants, socks?
2. Is it November?
3. Do you pay the gas bill?
Autumn posted the note on Facebook and the response was overwhelming. Some people love it, while others accuse her of bad parenting. What do you think?
