Marek Slodkowski has been raising horses on his pasture for 13 years, but had never experienced a situation like this. One day he walked into his barn and discovered that his horse named Freedom had fallen into a maintenance pit. He was shocked cause this never happened before, and things did not look good for his beloved friend.
Polish Farmer immediately started thinking how to get her out, but the situation seemed desperate. He began to stuff the pit with hay hoping it would give her the height to push herself out. Unfortunately, that did not work and he was getting out of ideas. Then Marek decided to call the fire department.
Guys came as fast as they could and tried using rope to lift Freedom out, but they weren’t strong enough. Time went by, and the horse became more and more exhausted. Slodkowski realized she was drifting off, and kept comforting her.
“Don’t die. Don’t die,”
he whispered to her, as he stroked her mane.
“It will be OK,”
It was like those words gave her strength to push harder, and then something amazing happened.
