Originally designed by a team of Hungarian engineers to serve as a mean of mass decontamination of Cold War-era tanks in case of a chemical, biological, radio-logical or nuclear attack was going down, The “Big Wind” now has a completely different purpose in these modern times. This insane looking machine is actually being used to put out oil-well fires, and it is just incredible!
When you combine one part of a T-34 tank and a couple of MiG 21 jet engines, the result is this monstrous fire fighting machine. It takes three people to operate this beast, and can you imagine the strength of 220 gallons of water per second coming from it? That is twice what an average U.S. household uses in 24 hours!
