This is an amazing story about one heroic mother who raised her son to believe he is a genius. That boy would eventually become one of the greatest scientists in the world.
One day he came home from school carrying a letter for his Mom. It was a note from boy’s teacher saying he is mentaly ill and that he should not come to school any more. His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child:
“Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself”
After many, many years, his mother dies and this now grown up man is looking through old family things. He finds a folded paper in the corner of a drawer in a desk. After reading the letter, he cried for hours and then wrote in his diary:
“Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.”
