In order to conduct an experiment, people from Canon brought in six photographers to take portrait of the same man. What they did not know is that this photo session had a twist. To each one of these photographers a different backstory about this man was told, and the idea was to see how will this cognition affect their work. The end result came as shock for everyone!
This experiment was designed to shift creative thinking behind the lens and the creators wanted to prove that ‘A photograph is shaped more by the person behind the camera than by what’s in front of it’. 6 photos of the same man, and you would never tell that it is the same guy! I guess that the preconceptions inside of us have a big influence on the way we are seeing the world.
